On Sunday, April 28 at 4:00 PM, HCAM-TV News Director Tom Nappi and HopNews Editor-in-Chief Peter Thomas will moderate a debate between candidates for the Select Board election to be held on May 20. The debate will be broadcast live on HCAM-TV (Comcast channels 8 & 9, Verizon channels 30 & 31) and streamed live on HCAM’s YouTube page and HopNews.

Nappi and Thomas will reprise their roles as moderators after last May’s successful School Committee debate.

At 4:00 PM, a four-way debate for two 3-year Select Board positions will commence. Candidates Brian Herr, Joe Clark, Kyla McSweeney and Peter Mimmo are expected to attend.

The moderators will take turns asking questions about pressing issues that affect Hopkinton voters, including access to clean water, the Main Street project, police and fire issues, and the safety of the Wilson Street Eversource LNG plant.

The debate will provide voters with an opportunity to gain a direct and comparative insight into the policies, personalities, and preparedness of the individuals vying for each office.
