Last night, the Hillers came off a 54 to 51 stunner over Norwood following senior night. With 2.7 seconds left, the game was tied at 51 after Norwood’s Pat Connell made 3 consecutive free-throws.
After Connell followed with a pair of clutch free throws to tie the game, Hopkinton’s Ryland August found Mitch Simulis on a long pass to the left wing in Norwood territory, and Simulis hit the game winner 3-pointer at the buzzer to seal the victory for the Hillers!
Hopkinton improves to 10 and 4 on the season, (#1 in Tri-Valley League large division) and officially clinches a state tournament spot, Norwood falls to 12 and 4 overall.
