Summary: Storms Bring Traffic And Animal Calls
Hopkinton Police responded to a series of weather-related traffic issues, welfare checks, and alarm calls between February 23 and March 1. Officers assisted multiple drivers stuck in snowbanks or disabled in the roadway, monitored malfunctioning traffic lights, and stood by for tows on several streets.
Police also handled minor crashes, including an accident on Grove Street with airbag deployment, and reported rib and neck injuries. Officers aided the Fire Department with alarm activations, checked reports of people stuck in an elevator and garage, and provided fingerprinting services for employment.
