One arrest and mysterious footprints in the snow lead this week’s police blotter.

ARRESTS:

  • On February 27, Micheal Halloran of Quincy, MA was arrested on charges of:
    • Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Registration Suspension
    • Uninsured Motor Vehicle
    • Number Plate Violation
    • Unregistered Motor Vehicle
    • Straight Warrant Arrest

February 27, 2023:

  • Officer Ekross responded to a call reporting a minor fender-bender in a parking lot on West Main Street. No personal injuries were reported.
  • A caller reported a dog running in and out of the roadway on Ash Street. The caller then gained possession of the dog. A message was left for both the owner of the dog and for animal control.
  • Officer Ekross responded and took a report about a past larceny incident on West Main Street.
  • A detail officer on Grove Street requested that an officer come to his location and pick up lost property. Officer Staback responded and retrieved the property.
  • Multiple officers responded to a school bus hit and run on Hayden Rowe Street.
  • An Ash Street caller reported that her son was overdue to be home and the last that she heard from him, he was on the bike trail with a flat tire. She stated that his thoughts had been “scrambled”. Multiple officers responded and attempted a cell phone ping. A second home on Hayden Rowe Street was checked but it was empty.

February 28, 2023

  • A 911 call reported a motor vehicle crash on Oakhurst Road. No personal injuries were reported.
  • A caller reported that he is out of gas on Wood Street. Officer McKeon responded and transported the caller to the gas station and then returned for his vehicle.
  • A caller reported that there was a vehicle driving on West Main Street that was covered with snow and unsafe to drive. Only a vague description was given of the vehicle. Officer Santoro checked the area with a negative find.
  • Multiple officers responded and took a crash report about a crash on Wilson Street. No personal injuries were reported.
  • Officer McKeon responded to a motor vehicle accident on Wood Street. No personal injuries were reported.

March 1, 2023

  • A 911 caller reported a dropped wallet and while someone turned it in, cash was stolen from it. Officer McKeon responded with a description of the accused in hand.
  • A 911 caller reported that a vehicle lost control and collided with her and another vehicle while merging on West Main Street. The caller wanted the incident logged for future reference.
  • A caller reported a motor vehicle accident on West Main Street. Officer Beloin responded and took a crash report.
  • A caller called with some questions regarding child custody. Officer LaTour spoke with the party and gave advice.
  • A walk-in reported that they had found a lost vehicle key. The key belongs to a plain black Ford.

March 2, 2023

  • Officer Santoro responded to a report about harassment on Hayden Rowe Street.
  • Multiple officers responded to a verbal altercation on West Main Street.

March 3, 2023

  • No reports for the day.

March 4, 2023

  • A caller reported footprints in the snow leading up to his residence on Pendulum Pass. Sergeant Burchard reported that nothing appeared to be suspicious and it might have been someone leaving.
  • A caller reported that there was a drain cover popped up in an area on Smith Road. Sergeant O’Neil went to the location. DPW was to address the issue.
  • Officer Staback responded to a road hazard on Clinton Street. A tree in the middle of the road was to be taken care of.
  • Multiple officers responded to a parking complaint on Proctor Street. A house party was going on and cars were blocking the road.

March 5, 2023

  • Multiple officers responded to a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. The driver was given as verbal for blocking traffic.
  • A two car accident was reported on Main Street. Multiple officers responded, and no personal injuries were reported.
