Hopkinton Sending 22 Students to International Leadership Conference

Last weekend, the Hopkinton HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) – Future Health Professionals team had a great showing at the State Leadership Conference, and 22 students qualified for the International Leadership Conference in Dallas in June.

HOSA – Future Health Professionals is an international organization dedicated to creating and promoting opportunities for career exploration within healthcare. Since it was founded in 2020, Hopkinton’s local chapter of HOSA has hosted annual emergency medical trainings, guest speaker events, clinical skills workshops, and other healthcare-related activities for over 90 members.

47 members of Hopkinton HOSA competed at the State Leadership Conference hosted by the Massachusetts state-wide chapter of HOSA at Worcester State University on March 18. 22 of those students and 6 middle school students finished as the top 3 competitors in their events, qualifying to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference.

The HOSA International Leadership Conference (ILC) will be held in Dallas, TX from June 21 to June 24, where students will participate in their competitive events, educational seminars, workshops, and exhibits with thousands of HOSA members from around the world.
