Dear Editor,
I am writing to endorse Sandra Irwin for the School Committee.
The first thing that comes to mind with Sandra is the focus & passion that she wants to bring to this position. She recognizes how fortunate we are to have an extremely strong school system. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t work to be done. By continuing to focus on students’ needs & inclusivity, while also adding responsible & strategic planning for the future, we will ensure that the schools remain strong. In turn, they will remain the backbone of our town.
Sandra balances being a mother of 3 with her professional career as a global marketing strategist, something that requires a strong work ethic & great organizational skills. I believe she will bring a perspective that is both fresh and grounded to the school committee. Furthermore, with her youngest not yet in school, she has a clear stake in serving. She also has a long-term commitment to serving.
Please join me in voting for Sandra for the school committee.

Everything Joe said. I will be voting for Sandra only during this election cycle. I am concerned about one of the candidates in particular; this individual’s history of online arguments, and bullying behavior, both here and the Independent is NOT representative of an appropriate candidate for the school committee. Remember, the school committee makes critical decisions, and they represent our students. Character matters more than voting down ballot solely for HDTC candidates. I would like to see a candidate with good credentials and people skills rather than someone slide in on the coattails of the HDTC. Please vote for Sandra this Monday, May 18!
LOL, some may remember one of the current candidates telling me I’m too old and should make room for someone younger on ConCom or OSPC, I’m old so I don’t remember which.😉
I assume he’ll be voting for Sandra as the sole youngster in this Troika.
