The best entry of the week: “A 911 call came in regarding a group of teens beating up another kid by the Hopkinton State Park. The kids ended up being from the wrestling team and were doing some team bonding. The kids admitted to roughhousing.

January 8

  • Caller reported a large tree in the roadway by Colonade Dr. causing her to drive into a snowbank to get around. Branch was eventually removed.
  • DPW was notified of another tree limb down on Proctor St. Small cars were able to pass, but not large ones.
  • Milford requested help shutting down Lumber St. due to an accident they had.
  • Other reports came in around town of trees down and some that had landed on wires.

January 9

  • Officer Schofield helped a vehicle on Hayden Rowe St. with a dead battery.
  • Price Chopper manager came into the department to drop off some lost ID and wallet they had stored.
  • Officer Ekross responded to a report of a man kicking and hitting his small dog that was then dragged into the house on Church St.

January 10

  • Officers Grimley and McKeon checked on a report of a female, about 5’4, dressed in a black coat and Ugg boots, knocked on a home on Main St and asking to come inside. The woman seemed confused.
  • Man reported his neighbor on Ash St. for pumping water out of their basement onto his lawn and damaging it.
  • Eversource was alerted to multiple calls of trees on wires and blocking roadways.
  • Officer Walker spoke with a person reporting threatening text messages.
  • A 911 caller notified the authorities of a older style dark Toyota Camry with Rhode Island plates driving all over the road on West Main St.

January 11

  • Officer Normandin assisted a civil issue a walk in reported.
  • The bus company reported a car blocking a corner on Main St and the buses could not get by.
  • Three officers responded to a car accident on Ash St. Two cars were involved but there were no injuries.

January 12

  • 911 caller reported a speeding vehicle on Ash St. that almost hit his son crossing the crosswalk.
  • Walk-in was concerned a package was possibly stolen from his residence on Main St.
  • Verizon was contacted after a 911 caller reported low hanging wires on Saddle Hill Rd.
  • Officer Ziniti responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Main St. A crash report was taken and one of the operators was issued a civil infraction.
  • Officers track down a loose dog on Macadam Rd.
  • Caller requested to log a possible break in when they found one of the windows to their home pried open. When the caller did a walk through, drawers and cabinets looked rummaged through but nothing seemed to be taken.

January 13

  • Officer Schofield checked on a vacant car left in the bus loop behind the high school.
  • Resident was advised to contact the police who will contact DPW regarding the flood in their home on Linden St.
  • Woman reported she replied to an email that turned out to be fraud. Her bank alerted her. The situation was logged for now.
  • Caller reported her mom is a resident at Golden Pond and her safe which contained valuables was missing.
  • 911 caller reported cars lined up on South Mill St. Officer McKeon checked to make sure the road was passable. The department informed the caller they were aware of the house party.

January 14

  • 911 caller reported a suspicious man they did not recognize in their lobby on East Main St.
  • Woman was advised when she reported that she received a scam call coming from the department. She was told not to give personal information to a call like that and the department would only contact her if they told her to expect a call.
  • 911 caller reported a tree through a home on Wood St.
  • Officer Diaz and Ekross responded to a 911 call of trees on wires by School St.
  • Officer Normandin assisted a woman stating her medication was missing.
  • General manager of a business on South St. reported a vehicle stolen. The vehicle was later identified in another town and the operator that worked for the company was taken into custody.

January 15

  • Caller reported an alarm was sounding at her mother’s house on Weston Ln. and they were unable to identify the type of alarm.
  • Passerby reported a motor vehicle appeared to have hit a stone wall by Lakepoint Way.
  • 911 call came in regarding a group of teens beating up another kid by the Hopkinton State Park. The kids ended up being from the wrestling team and were doing some team bonding. The kids admitted to roughhousing.
  • An Amazon driver hit a fence on Hidden Brick Rd.
  • Man reported that Yale Rd. was all ice and he couldn’t get home.
