Hopkinton police responded to a range of calls during the week, including three arrests. A Providence, RI, resident was arrested on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and negligent operation. A Newtonville resident was arrested on default and straight warrants. Officers also responded to two separate two-vehicle accidents — one on Grove St. and one on Proctor St. — with no injuries reported in the first crash. Additional calls included reports of a road rage incident, a vehicle struck by a tractor-trailer whose driver fled the scene, and a caller reporting that a neighbor destroyed outdoor lighting at a residence.

Other calls included several loose or missing animals, with officers transporting a dog to Baypath Humane Society and a report of missing chickens and ducks that the owner believed may have been taken intentionally. Officers fielded reports of erratic and reckless drivers, a faint gas odor in a basement, a commercial fire alarm, property disputes, a verbal argument, and multiple road hazards including debris and downed wires.
