In this brief episode, we present analysis of the lawsuit brought against the town by Crosspoint Associates, the owners of the property that hosts CVS and Marty’s Fine Wine. Crosspoint is suing the town, claiming that the $380,000 they were paid was “inadequate” compensation for taking their parking spaces, and that the town has significantly devalued their property.
We also share the history of that property by diving in to the story of the Colella family, who for 70 years ran Hopkinton’s independent grocery store. The Collela’s were generous people who left a lasting mark on the town, from sponsoring local sports teams to supporting local charitable organizations.
