In partnership with the Town of Hopkinton and the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce, American Climbers installed approximately 50 banners on telephone poles. These banners highlight local businesses in the initial mile of the marathon course (east of Ash Street along Route 135) and certain sections of Main Street.
Since 1924, Hopkinton has garnered media attention during the Boston Marathon, with the first mile prominently featured by global news outlets in the days leading up to and including race day.
