Upton Treating Lake Weeds with Herbicide

Published on

Upton is using the same herbicide that was used successfully in Lake Maspenock.

Pratt Pond, Taft Pond, and Lake Wildwood will be treated with herbicide on June 9 to manage aquatic plant growth. The products Tribune (diquat) and/or Propellor (flumioxazin) will be used. The following restrictions apply to water use: No livestock watering for 1 day; no direct drinking for 3 days; and no irrigation use for 5 days. There is no restriction on swimming, boating, or fishing.
